Broiler Production Officer and Supervisor
About the role
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field.
With 2-5 years experience in poultry/broiler farm operations or in Supervisory level
Knowledge of poultry health, nutrition, and farm biosecurity practices.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Good record-keeping, analytical, and reporting skills.
Willing to work in farm locations with shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays
Key Responsibilities
Farm Operations Management
Supervise daily broiler farm activities (feeding, watering, weighing, and housekeeping).
Monitor bird health, growth performance, mortality, and feed conversion ratios.
Ensure proper implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for broiler production.
Animal Health & Welfare
Coordinate with veterinarians for vaccination, medication, and treatment programs.
Conduct regular flock inspections to detect signs of disease or stress.
Enforce biosecurity protocols to prevent disease outbreaks.
Production Monitoring
Maintain accurate records of feed intake, mortality, medication, and performance data.
Prepare regular reports on flock performance, costs, and production efficiency.
Assist in achieving company targets for weight gain, feed conversion, and harvest yield.
People & Resource Management
Supervise and train farm workers on proper broiler management practices.
Ensure effective use of feed, water, electricity, and other farm resources.
Promote safe working practices within the farm.
Harvesting & Marketing Support
Coordinate harvest schedules to meet company and market requirements.
Ensure proper handling of birds during catching, loading, and transport.
Support sales, logistics, and processing teams as needed.
