About the role

Join the Insurance Business Development team, in the Bilingual Account Representative, Client Relations – Multi-Unit position.

In this role, you will act as a key point of contact for lenders, providing guidance and support on CMHC’s multi-unit (MU) mortgage loan insurance products, policies, processes, and tools, while building and maintaining strong client relationships.

You will help strengthen client relationships by analyzing trends, identifying opportunities for targeted training, and recommending process improvements. You will also deliver training sessions and support lender-facing initiatives related to CMHC’s multi-unit mortgage loan insurance products.

This role requires a strong client service mindset, excellent relationship management and communication skills in both official languages, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.

This is a temporary position that will end in August 2027.

What you’ll do:

Respond to lender inquiries related to multi-unit mortgage loan insurance products, policies, processes, and tools, ensuring a timely, accurate, and professional service while strengthening client relationships.

Monitor and manage inquiry volumes across various intake channels, ensuring appropriate follow-ups and resolution within established service standards.

Guide lenders through MU MLI application requirements and support the submission of complete, high-quality applications.

Foster strong client relationships by delivering consistent, positive, and relationship-focused client experience in every interaction.

Analyze inquiry trends, submission quality, and client feedback to identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements or training initiatives.

Support the development and delivery of training initiatives, including delivering engaging presentations, webinars, and client-facing materials.

Collaborate with the MU Bdev team to ensure alignment, knowledge sharing, and coordinated relationship-driven client support.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, client experience, and service excellence.

What you should have:

An undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as business administration, finance, economics, or commerce, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A minimum of five years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in client-facing or business development roles.

Knowledge of mortgage lending and CMHC mortgage loan insurance products, particularly for multi-unit residential properties.

Strong client service and relationship management orientation, with the ability to manage inquiries effectively, professionally, and with sound judgment.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in both official languages (English and French).

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and ability to analyze information to generate actionable insights.

A proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

It would be great if you also had:

Experience with multi-unit mortgage loan insurance (MLI), including products, tools, and application requirements.

Experience supporting or delivering training initiatives, including presentations and client-facing materials.

Knowledge of multi-unit underwriting.
