Join Wealth Management Europe's Data Governance team and make a real impact on how we manage and use data across the organisation. You'll own key aspects of our data governance strategy - from maintaining our Collibra metadata hub to implementing quality controls and building dashboards that stakeholders actually rely on. It's a role where you'll work across teams, solve real data problems, and help shape how we approach data governance at scale.

This is a permanent, full-time role based in our London office, with 4 days in-office and the flexibility to work remotely one day per week.

What will you do?

Support the maintenance and expansion of our metadata and data lineage in Collibra, building out our Data Catalogue and Business Glossary

Work with Data Owners and Stewards to drive governance initiatives and keep projects on track

Define and implement data quality rules by working with business stakeholders and analysing real datasets

Develop and maintain operational dashboards that give stakeholders the insights they need

Spot data issues early, investigate root causes, and drive improvements across the organisation

Support the delivery of our WME data governance programme in line with RBC's enterprise standards

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases

Proven experience with data governance tools (Collibra) and data visualisation platforms (Tableau/PowerBI)

Solid grasp of data management principles, data flow, and governance policies

Excellent communication skills - able to translate complex data concepts for different audiences

Experience in financial services with a good understanding of the business context

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders

Nice-to-have

Familiarity with Agile ways of working

Experience with business analysis tools (data flow diagrams, data models, process modelling)

Formal qualification in data governance, data management, or data modelling

What is in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best - progressive thinking to keep growing and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

A comprehensive Total Rewards Programme including bonuses, flexible benefits and competitive compensation

Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities

Opportunities to work with the best in the field

Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
