Summary

The Benefits Supervisor is responsible for the administration and continuous improvement of the Company's health, welfare, retirement, leave of absence, and workers' compensation programs. This role partners cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver competitive, compliant, and cost-effective programs that support the organization's objectives and enhance the employee experience. This role continuously evaluates program performance, market trends, and regulatory changes to drive operational efficiency, ensure compliance, and optimize program value.

Compensation

$65,000 - $84,000 yearly salary range. (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Responsibilities

Administers and continuously improves the Company's health, welfare, retirement, leave of absence, and workers' compensation programs.

Leads the design, implementation, communication, and administration of employee benefit programs, including annual Open Enrollment.

Evaluates market trends, regulatory changes, and program performance to recommend enhancements that improve competitiveness, compliance, and cost effectiveness.

Oversees the day-to-day administration of benefits, leave of absence, and workers' compensation programs, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.

Manages relationships with benefit carriers, brokers, and third-party vendors, including contract administration and ongoing performance management.

Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing employee benefit and leave programs.

Oversees workers' compensation claims administration, including cost containment, vendor coordination, and regulatory compliance.

Provides guidance to employees and managers on benefit and leave programs, resolving complex issues and ensuring a positive employee experience.

Leads benefit audits and HRIS data validation efforts to maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements.

Supervises and develops the Benefits team, providing coaching, direction, and performance management to ensure operational excellence.

Oversees benefits and workers' compensation invoice reconciliation and payment processing to ensure accuracy and timely vendor payments.

Reviews and processes employee leave of absence requests, ensuring required documentation is complete and compliant with Company policy and applicable regulations.

Maintains leave of absence records and HRIS data, ensuring accurate documentation and leave status tracking.

Provides guidance and support to employees and managers throughout the leave of absence process.

Partners with the Organizational Development team to support employee wellness initiatives and events.

Maintains benefit and leave-related employee records in accordance with Company policies and record retention requirements.

Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent qualifications preferred

Education & Experience

Associates Degree

5 - 8 years of direct experience in Human Resources, Benefits, and WC Administration

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods

Must operate desktop, computers, laptop, printer, scanners, shredders, etc.

Constant use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing

Sit for 5+ hours per day

Stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach over shoulder, kneel, push, pull 1-3 hours per day
