Accounting Manager

The Role:

As an Accounting Manager you will lead client engagements, oversee accounting operations, and deliver high-value fractional Controller and CFO services. You will play a key role in maintaining service excellence, mentoring team members, and driving innovation through technology and process optimization. The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy, efficiency-driven professional with a passion for client service and a strong background in accounting department management.

Responsabilities:

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

Manage a portfolio of outsourced accounting and advisory clients across diverse industries.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their business needs and delivering strategic financial guidance.

Cultivate long-term client relationships through proactive communication and value-added insights.

Accounting Operations & Reporting

Oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Conduct financial analysis and prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

Deliver fractional Controller and CFO services, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Team Leadership & Development

Supervise, mentor, and review the work of senior accountants and accounting staff.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Technology & Process Optimization

Implement and optimize cloud-based accounting technologies and workflows.

Continuously improve internal controls and operational efficiencies.

Risk & Compliance

Identify and mitigate risks in client engagements.

Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

Proven experience managing an accounting department or outsourced accounting team.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or another related program

CPA certification preferred

Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial statement preparation.

Demonstrated experience providing fractional Controller and/or CFO services.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop is required.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
