The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Consultant to join a high-performing banking and wealth technology team.
This is a client-facing role focused on delivering business and functional consulting services across Avaloq platforms and solutions. You will play a key role in understanding customer requirements, translating business needs into Avaloq parameterisation and solution designs, and driving successful delivery outcomes across complex banking and wealth management programs.
The ideal candidate will bring deep Avaloq expertise, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering business analysis, product consulting, and implementation services across enterprise financial services environments.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyse, and translate customer requirements into Avaloq solution designs and parameterisation specifications.
Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Facilitate and lead customer workshops, requirements sessions, and solution design discussions.
Prepare and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), and related artefacts.
Provide expertise across Avaloq product capabilities, including:
KYC
Compliance
Client Lifecycle Management (CLM)
Fund Administration
Reporting
Portfolio Management
STEX
Support solution design, configuration, system enhancements, and functional optimisation activities.
Lead product lifecycle activities, working closely with customers, development teams, and testing teams.
Analyse business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and customer experience.
Conduct impact assessments, gap analysis, and solution recommendations.
Support system maintenance, upgrades, and enhancement initiatives within the Avaloq platform.
Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery outcomes.
Review business and operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Provide stakeholder management, communication, and governance support throughout project delivery.
Support testing, validation, user acceptance activities, and post-implementation reviews.
What You'll Need
Extensive experience working as a Business Consultant, Functional Consultant, Business Analyst, or similar role within Avaloq environments.
Strong knowledge of Avaloq products and functionalities, including:
KYC
Compliance
CLM
Fund Administration
Reporting
Portfolio Management
STEX
Proven experience translating business requirements into Avaloq parameterisation and functional solutions.
Strong expertise in developing:
Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
Functional Specification Documents (FSDs)
Experience facilitating workshops and managing stakeholder engagement activities.
Strong understanding of banking, wealth management, or financial services processes.
Experience supporting Avaloq system maintenance, enhancements, and optimisation initiatives.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and requirements management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
Experience working across full project and product delivery lifecycles.
Flexibility to travel and work on customer sites as required.
Desirable Skills
Avaloq Certification.
Experience working within private banking, wealth management, or investment management environments.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and customer onboarding processes.
Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
Exposure to digital transformation and core banking modernisation programs.
Experience coordinating testing, release, and deployment activities.
Knowledge of integration and data migration initiatives within Avaloq ecosystems.
