We are looking for an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager – Human Resources to join our Chennai manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to plant HR operations, statutory compliance, industrial relations, and workforce management in a manufacturing environment.
Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – HR will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations at the plant, ensuring statutory compliance, fostering healthy employee relations, supporting business objectives through effective manpower planning, and maintaining seamless HR administration.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day HR operations for the manufacturing plant.
Handle Industrial Relations (IR) activities and maintain a healthy employee-employer relationship.
Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, statutory regulations, and factory compliance requirements.
Coordinate manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and workforce deployment.
Address employee grievances and implement effective employee engagement initiatives.
Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files.
Prepare HR MIS reports, attendance, leave records, and other HR analytics.
Coordinate with government authorities for statutory inspections and documentation.
Support performance management, disciplinary actions, and policy implementation.
Conduct employee induction, training coordination, and HR awareness programs.
Work closely with department heads to achieve manpower and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline.
MBA/PGDM in Human Resources preferred.
Experience
8–12 years of relevant HR experience.
Experience in Automotive Manufacturing, Plastic Injection Moulding, or other manufacturing industries is mandatory.
Prior experience in plant HR operations is essential.
