The opportunity

We are looking for a Strategic Resilience Programme Lead to lead Council’s strategic work programme for community resilience, sustainability and adaptation planning, including nature-based solutions.

This role works alongside communities, iwi / hapū, businesses, funders and partner agencies to support local resilience responses and initiatives. It also works closely with Council’s emergency management, planning, parks and reserves, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated resilience outcomes.

A key focus of the role is to increase the scale and impact of resilience and adaptation initiatives by attracting external investment and building effective co-funding partnerships.

You will bring strong relationship, facilitation and connector skills, and be confident working across different perspectives to turn strategy into practical action. You will also be able to translate technical information into clear, meaningful language for communities, partners and stakeholders.
