About the role

Shape how critical water treatment assets are managed across Wellington's drinking water, stormwater and wastewater infrastructure

Lead asset condition assessments and influence long-term renewal and investment decisions for essential water infrastructure

Become the technical expert for asset management across Tiaki Wai's Treatment and Control Systems Group

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, based in our Petone office.

The remuneration range for this role is $101,125 to $141,765 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.

The opportunity

As a Senior Asset Management Advisor, you will guide asset management activities across Tiaki Wai's Treatment and Control Systems assets, developing and continuously improving asset management processes, leading condition assessments, and shaping renewal plans and longer-term investment strategies. You will build strong relationships across the organisation and with external partners to ensure asset performance, condition, criticality and data are well understood, supporting informed decisions about the future of critical water treatment infrastructure.

Establish and continuously improve asset management processes, documentation, asset class plans and tactical asset management plans

Lead the condition assessment programme and develop renewal plans for critical treatment plant assets

Advise on longer-term investment strategies and provide asset management input into the Long Term Plan

Collaborate with operations, maintenance, automation, digital and capital delivery teams to improve asset performance and data accuracy

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring:

an engineering degree or trade qualification, with experience in maintenance execution or asset management planning

extensive experience in asset management within a water or infrastructure environment

strong knowledge of asset management principles, including ISO 55000, and experience applying these in practice

experience using computer-based maintenance or asset management systems; knowledge of Maximo and GIS would be advantageous.
