Join the Treasury Te Tai Ohangas People and Capability team as a People and Capability Advisor supporting a high-performing, future-ready organisation for Aotearoa New Zealand.

This is a 10-month fixed-term opportunity covering parental leave.

As part of the Enabling Services Group, we work in close partnership with leaders across the organisation to lift capability, strengthen systems, and support our people to do their best work.

Korero mo te turanga | About the Role

Were recruiting for a fixed-term People and Capability Advisor to deliver high-quality, consistent people services and create a positive experience for leaders and staff. Youll provide expert advice across the employee lifecycle, including supporting leaders with recruitment, and general HR advice.

This is a great opportunity to influence how people experience work at the Treasury, supporting leaders and teams with practical, values-based advice and delivery.

Were looking for people who are practical, people-centred, and committed to delivering great service. Youll be comfortable working at pace, building trusted relationships, and applying good judgement and attention to detail.

Youll bring:

General operational HR experience, including full recruitment lifecycle

Strong motivation with the ability to hit the ground runnning

Confidence providing advice, coaching, and support to leaders

Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted, professional relationships

A customer-centric mindset, sound judgement, and a commitment to confidentiality and integrity

The ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver to a high standard in a busy, changing environment

Good attention to detail

A commitment to continuous improvement, including building digital capability and improving processes.
