At ASB, we're passionate about helping our customers protect what matters most. We're looking for an experienced and inspiring Insurance Performance Coach to join our Personal Banking Distribution Capability team.

Based in Wellington/Midlands region and supporting our Personal Banking network, you'll play a key role in growing the capability and confidence of our frontline teams to have meaningful insurance conversations that deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

This is a highly visible role where you'll partner closely with frontline leaders, Insurance Specialists and key stakeholders to coach, influence and embed our insurance distribution strategy. Through a structured visitation programme, you'll deliver engaging coaching and training, identify opportunities to improve performance, and champion a culture focused on great customer outcomes, profitable growth and market share.

Ngā mahi matua | What you'll be doing

As an Insurance Performance Coach, you'll:

Drive the achievement of insurance performance, financial and strategic objectives across the Personal Banking network.

Deliver engaging one-on-one and group coaching sessions that build capability and confidence across our distribution teams.

Maintain an effective branch and stakeholder visitation programme to support frontline teams and leaders.

Champion quality insurance conversations that help customers identify and meet their protection needs.

Coach leaders and frontline teams to improve specialist handovers, customer outcomes and Net Promoter Score.

Identify performance trends and opportunities using data and insights, recommending practical solutions that improve customer and business outcomes.

Support the successful implementation of new products, processes and strategic initiatives.

Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Personal Banking, Insurance and Risk teams.

Represent ASB professionally in external opportunities, including workplace and community engagements.

Continuously advocate for excellent customer service, conduct and regulatory compliance while keeping up to date with industry trends and changes.

You'll be an experienced banking or financial services professional who thrives on developing others and influencing positive change.

You'll bring:

Extensive knowledge of banking and insurance sales and service environments.

A passion for coaching and developing high-performing teams.

Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the confidence to engage audiences of all sizes.

Proven relationship management and stakeholder engagement experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, using data to identify trends and coaching opportunities.

Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously.

A collaborative mindset with the confidence to challenge, innovate and drive continuous improvement.

A tertiary qualification and/or relevant industry qualification.

Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
