We have an exciting opportunity to extend our Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Service at Middlemore Hospital. The team forms part of the Acute Allied Health Service for the Counties Manukau District, South Auckland.
We are looking for enthusiastic physiotherapists to join our team and are able to consider a physiotherapist either wanting to begin their career in Pelvic Health or extend their current interest and clinical experience in this specialised area of Physiotherapy practice.
Comprehensive Pelvic Health Physiotherapy services are provided to a culturally and clinically diverse group of adults with a range of conditions including obstetric, gynaecological and male pelvic health.
We deliver services through a range of modalities including individual appointments, group education and telehealth across a number of localities in the Counties Manukau area.
You will work alongside a team of very experienced Pelvic Health Physiotherapists and also be located alongside with the musculoskeletal physiotherapy team. We work closely with the Uro-Gynaecological multidisciplinary team, midwives and acute ward staff, continence service etc. You will be professionally supported by a Section Head Physiotherapist and the Physiotherapy Professional Leader.
This position may also involve the supervision of rotational staff and undergraduate physiotherapy students.
The department actively encourages continuous professional development with continuous and collaborative learning within the team, regional meetings with pelvic health services and support for formal education opportunities.
Essential:
New Zealand Registration and a Current Annual Practicing Certificate
Introductory level pelvic health assessment
Minimum 2 years experience in Physiotherapy
Full drivers licence
Desirable:
Experience in pelvic health physiotherapy
Ongoing plans for Pelvic Health training
Experience in supervision of rotational staff and students
Experience in acute hospital setting
Research and audit skills
