PAK’nSAVE Whanganui is looking for a Qualified or Experienced Cake & Sweet Baker to join our Bakery team. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering products our customers love.
About the Role
Working Sunday to Thursday, you will be responsible for producing a wide range of cakes, sweet goods, and bakery products to a consistently high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing, baking, decorating, and finishing cakes and sweet products
Producing products to recipes and quality specifications
Maintaining attractive product displays and presentation standards
Ensuring products are available and fresh for our customers
Assisting with department cleaning and housekeeping duties
Supporting the wider Bakery team as required
What We Are Looking For
You will:
Hold a baking qualification and/or have proven experience as a Cake or Sweet Baker
Have strong cake decorating and finishing skills
Be passionate about producing high-quality bakery products
Have excellent attention to detail
Be reliable, organised, and able to work independently
Work well within a team environment
Have good communication skills
Be physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced production environment
Food Safety & Health and Safety
