Meaningful Work From Day One:
The Financial Analyst will play a key role in the financial management of the France and Belgium operations, with a comprehensive overview of the P&L, including revenue, marketing expenses, cost of sales, and key financial indicators. He or she will analyze and report on business performance to ensure a reliable, consistent, and relevant interpretation of the results.
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring a clear understanding of the P&L and must be able to conduct analyses independently, challenge the numbers, identify variances, provide concrete recommendations, and contribute to improving profitability. They will also be responsible for continuing to improve cost transparency, optimize processes, and automate tracking files, working closely with the sales, marketing, and supply chain teams as a true business partner.
What You Can Expect:
Serve as a financial and business partner for the sales, marketing, supply chain, and all relevant operational teams.
Manage the budget planning process for all marketing expenses and cost of sales.
Monitor, analyze, and report on key P&L components, including revenue, cost of sales, marketing expenses, and major performance variances.
Ensure the P&L is properly interpreted and monitored by scrutinizing the figures and making recommendations to support decision-making.
Conduct profitability analyses throughout the operational value chain.
Collaborate with other departments (supply chain, marketing) to ensure that best practices, policies, and processes are in place and followed.
Integrate and reconcile key factors in planned, reported, and maintained data, particularly regarding gifting and special packaging processes.
Lead special projects to identify potential cost savings in operations.
Improve financial processes, automate tracking files, and provide ad hoc analyses to support all other activities of the finance team.
What You Bring to the Table:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance / Business.
1 to 2 years of experience in finance.
First significant work experience.
Fluent in French.
Good command of English (spoken and written).
Strong computer skills: very good command of MS Excel.
Knowledge of a financial/ERP system, preferably SAP.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to scrutinize figures, understand P&L impacts, and translate financial analyses into business recommendations.
Independence, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize financial matters with a high degree of reliability.
