Role Overview

You will help monitor supplier performance, support issue resolution, and contribute to a structured quality process that keeps materials and components aligned with Johnson Controls requirements. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to grow in supplier quality, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.

What will you do?

Monitor supplier quality performance and support compliance with Johnson Controls quality standards.

Support incoming inspection, material review, sorting, and containment activities when quality issues arise.

Partner with suppliers to investigate nonconformances, drive root cause analysis, and track corrective actions to closure.

Track key metrics such as PPM, NCRs, open corrective actions, and warranty-related trends.

Support PPAP and New Product Introduction activities, including documentation review and readiness follow-up.

Work with engineering, production, procurement, and quality teams to resolve supplier-related issues quickly and effectively.

Document findings, communicate status clearly, and maintain accurate records of quality actions and decisions.

How will you do it?

Take ownership of supplier issues from detection through containment, corrective action, and closure.

Use facts, data, and structured problem-solving to focus on what matters most for the customer and the operation.

Stay close to the work by engaging with suppliers, inspectors, engineers, and production teams to remove barriers quickly.

Apply a continuous-improvement mindset, asking questions, challenging assumptions, and following up until the root cause is understood.

Communicate early and clearly across functions, building trust and alignment through collaboration and accountability.

Use quality tools and methods such as 8D, root cause analysis, corrective actions, PPAP, and APQP in a practical, well-documented way.

What are we looking for?

Completed bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Early-career experience or exposure to supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or a similar industrial environment.

Understanding of quality systems, problem-solving methods, and structured follow-up on nonconforming material or process issues.

Ability to analyze data, organize priorities, and maintain accurate documentation with strong attention to detail.

Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.

Nice to Have

Experience with PPAP, APQP, ISO standards, Six Sigma, or Lean manufacturing.

Exposure to 8D, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPM tracking, NCR management, or warranty analysis.

Familiarity with ERP or quality systems such as PLEX.

Experience supporting supplier audits, incoming inspection, or new product introduction.
