Operations Assistant – Short Term Rental Management (Sunshine Coast)

Hours: 10 to 20 hours per week and/or shift work, flexible Location: Sunshine Coast, QLD

Sunny Coast Cohost is a short term rental co-hosting and property management business looking after a growing portfolio of holiday properties across the Sunshine Coast. We're looking for a switched on, computer savvy Operations Assistant to join the team and help keep things running smoothly, with the ability to step in and manage day to day operations when needed.

About the role

This is a hands on, varied role suited to someone who is genuinely comfortable with technology and picks up new systems quickly. You'll be trained across our core platforms and processes so you can confidently take ownership of tasks and, over time, step in to cover key parts of the business.

What you'll be doing

Learning and operating our property management systems and task management platform to manage bookings, calendars and cleaning or maintenance jobs

Conducting property inspections between guest stays, checking presentation, reporting issues and following up on maintenance

General admin support including scheduling, basic reporting, and record keeping

Creating content in Canva for listings, welcome books and social media

Guest communication, including responding to enquiries and messages professionally and promptly

Supporting or assisting with social media content and posting

Being trained to step in and manage core operations so the business can keep running smoothly during time off

What we're looking for

Genuinely computer savvy, confident learning new software and systems without needing everything explained twice

Comfortable using Canva or similar design tools with experience already

Strong attention to detail and reliable follow through

Good written communication for guest and owner facing messages

Able to work independently and use initiative once trained

Previous experience in property management, hospitality or short term rentals is a bonus but not essential

A driver's licence and access to a car for property inspections

Must have your own laptop

Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision, as well as onsite for inspections and hands on tasks
