About Our Practice
We work alongside each patient's primary care physician (PCP) to improve access to timely medical care. Most of our patients already have an established PCP; however, many are unable to obtain appointments promptly when new medical concerns arise. Our clinic helps bridge this gap by providing convenient, same-day or next-day evaluations for non-emergency medical needs until patients can follow up with their regular physician.
Our focus is on high-quality, evidence-based outpatient adult medicine, preventive services, and Medicare wellness visits. We do not replace a patient's primary care physician, and we do not provide specialty care. Patients requiring specialty evaluation or ongoing specialist management are referred back to their PCP or to the appropriate specialist.
This position is ideal for a provider who enjoys practicing independently while having physician support readily available. You will be the primary and only on-site medical provider in the clinic, managing your own daily schedule and patient care. A supervising physician will always be available for consultation, clinical guidance, and collaboration as needed, and will review documentation in accordance with Medicare and California regulatory requirements.
Because we function as an access-to-care clinic, providers can focus on delivering efficient, patient-centered care without the demands of managing a large long-term patient panel.
Responsibilities
Independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat common adult medical conditions in an outpatient setting.
Provide timely care for patients who are unable to see their primary care physician promptly.
Perform Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and preventive care.
Order and interpret routine laboratory and diagnostic studies, including EKGs, PFTs, and point-of-care testing.
Order diagnostic ultrasound and peripheral vascular studies when clinically indicated; all imaging studies are interpreted by board-certified radiologists.
Coordinate referrals to specialists or the patient's primary care physician when appropriate.
Provide both in-person and telemedicine visits.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Collaborate with the supervising physician for consultation and chart review as required.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a provider who:
Is confident practicing independently within the scope of outpatient adult medicine.
Knows when to seek physician consultation or refer patients for specialty care.
Enjoys building rapport with Medicare patients and providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working as the primary provider in a small practice.
Appreciates the autonomy of managing a clinic while having an experienced physician available for consultation and support whenever needed.
