Job Description
General Responsibilities To provide supervision and oversight of employees and operations in the Resource Management Systems (RMS) area. To ensure accurate data for all nursing cost centers. To lead regular meetings with customers to discuss active and/or future position control changes. To assist in developing procedures and policies for RMS and ensure compliance with UAB policies and procedures, and other related regulations. To provide customer service, which may include answering questions or providing information. Key Duties & Responsibilities Conducts employee training, auditing, product or service quality control, establishing productivity standards, performance issues, staffing, payroll and other matters associated with the productivity and operations of assigned area. Coordinates and manages all personnel related documents for assigned cost centers concentrating on critical deadlines affecting employee payroll. Initiates and completes data entry. Troubleshoots payroll and leave issues on behalf of cost centers. Maintains real time position control and accuracy of information in the scheduling system (Active & Oversight). Leads monthly meetings with customers to discuss active and/or future Position Control changes. Works with customers to make recommendations on position control changes (Active & Oversight). Ensures accurate data for all nursing cost centers and prepares management reports related to resource utilization. Assists in the development of the annual budget. Review monthly account statements for accuracy. Initiates and manages the purchasing process for supplies, services and equipment as well as evaluating physical plant, furnishings and equipment for repairs, maintenance and/or replacement for assigned cost centers. Collects and analyze turnover data. Analyzes employee position control histories to make recommendations on department staffing decisions. Provides retention data information to departments. Coordinates recruitment activities between Cost Centers and Human Resources. Forecasts double slotting of positions. Responsible for confidential information and organizes a variety of departmental files. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field and three (3) years experience in a financial or human resources role required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. None required.
