Job Summary:
The Human Resources Manager will play a vital role in supporting the ABA agency's human resources functions. This individual will collaborate with leadership, staff, and management to ensure efficient HR processes, compliance with policies, and a positive employee experience.
Responsibilities:
Assist in recruitment and onboarding processes, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting initial interviews, and facilitating new employee orientation.
Manage fast-paced onboarding, background checks, and state-specific healthcare credentialing
Patriciate and research community outreach opportunities including but not limited to career fairs, community events, etc.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, benefits enrollment, and certifications.
Manage HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to track employee data, leave, and attendance.
Track and maintain active RBT certifications, BCBA licenses, CPR/First Aid, and TB test renewals.
Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities.
Ensure strict adherence to state and federal healthcare labor regulations, HIPAA compliance, and payer/insurance credentialing requirements.
Continuously updating and educating staff on agency policies and procedures.
Assist in creation and maintenance of operation manual, agency wide.
Coordinate employee training sessions, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with leadership to address employee relations issues, conflicts, and performance management.
Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Conduct periodic audits of HR documents and records to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Assist in benefit administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
Coordinate and lead employee engagement initiatives, such as wellness programs, team-building activities, and recognition programs.
Assist in coordinating performance evaluations and providing feedback to employees and managers.
Stay updated with HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations to ensure the agency's compliance.
Participate in HR-related projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes.
Assist with additional office administration duties.

Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
3+ years of experience in human resources roles, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health settings.
Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
Leadership skills: Managing an administrative team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Education: A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field is often required. Master's degree preferred, relevant HR certifications like PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional).
HR Knowledge: Understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations including employment law, compensation and benefits, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems).
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for drafting policies, conducting interviews, facilitating meetings, and communicating with employees at all levels of the organization.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport, handle sensitive situations, and resolve conflicts effectively. HR professionals often serve as intermediaries between management and employees, requiring strong interpersonal skills.
Organizational Skills: HR professionals must manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills are necessary for handling recruitment, employee onboarding, training programs, and other HR functions.
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation is crucial for tasks such as workforce planning, compensation analysis, and evaluating HR metrics to make informed decisions.
Adaptability: The HR landscape is dynamic, with evolving regulations, technologies, and workforce demographics. The HR professional should be adaptable and open to change, embracing new methodologies and approaches to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments and fostering a positive work environment. Being apart of cross-functional teams on projects such as employee engagement initiatives, diversity and inclusion programs, and organizational development efforts.
