We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Relationship Manager, SME Business Banking – Retail and Leisure.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in our SME Business Banking segment where you’ll engage with our existing and prospective customers to help them realise their ambitions. As a Relationship Manager, your key goal will be to operate as a person of influence to our customers while delivering a world-class customer service. This is a hybrid role based in London supporting a client portfolio within the M25.

In this role you’ll:

Conduct face to face meetings with SME clients, with up to 70 clients in your portfolio

Manage portfolio income of approximately £2.5 – £3m and SME clients with a £2-15m turnover

Drive revenue growth through understanding customer needs and by adopting a needs-based approach which engages clients and increases new business

Grow the business sustainably, by identifying opportunities to a portfolio and broadening client relationships by leveraging HSBC's extensive network

Build a strong understanding of the client's business and industry to promote insights, enrich client conversations and deliver fair outcomes

Develop comprehensive understanding of the client through pro-active credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

Commercial Banking experience would be advantageous

Experience and an established network in the Retail and Leisure Sector is key

Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs is essential

Commercial credit and lending experience would be advantageous

A passion for delivering excellent customer service and proactively looking for innovative ways to improve this service

Experience of building effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same

Comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes
