The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Security, Identity and/or Compliance and AI-enabled Modern Workplace or Cloud Services. The successful candidate will design, implement and deliver enterprise-scale security transformations across Microsoft 365, Azure and Microsoft Security technologies, helping customers strengthen their security posture while enabling productivity and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Security & Identity

Design and implement enterprise security architectures aligned with Zero Trust principles.

Lead customer engagements around Identity & Access Management, Identity Governance and Privileged Access Management.

Implement and optimize Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, Passwordless Authentication, Identity Governance, Access Reviews, Lifecycle Workflows and Privileged Identity Management.

Support hybrid identity transformations involving Active Directory, Entra ID and federated identity providers.

Cloud Security

Design and deploy security solutions across Azure and Microsoft cloud environments.

Implement and optimize Microsoft Defender for Cloud capabilities, including workloads such as servers, storage, databases, containers and Kubernetes where relevant.

Conduct cloud security posture reviews and support customers in improving governance, policy management and secure workload design.

Threat Protection & SOC Modernization

Design, implement and optimize Microsoft Defender for Cloud. Defender XDR solutions including Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365 and Defender for Cloud Apps.

Implement and tune Microsoft Sentinel including data onboarding, detection engineering, analytics rules, automation and SOAR use cases.

Contribute to threat hunting, incident response readiness and security operations process improvement.

Data Security & Compliance

Design and deploy Microsoft Purview solutions for information protection, sensitivity labels, data classification, DLP, records management and data lifecycle management.

Support customers in meeting compliance, governance and data protection objectives.

Translate regulatory and business requirements into practical security and compliance controls.

AI & Security Innovation

Lead customer discussions around secure AI adoption and responsible use of Microsoft Copilot and Security Copilot.

Deliver readiness assessments and governance frameworks for Copilot-enabled environments.

Define controls to protect sensitive data and identities in AI-enabled collaboration and cloud scenarios.

Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten:

Professional Experience

Years of experience in enterprise security consulting, engineering or architecture.

Proven experience delivering Microsoft security, identity, and/or compliance or cloud security projects.

Experience working directly with enterprise customers and senior stakeholders.

Strong consulting mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into pragmatic security solutions.

Structured, self-reliant, solution-oriented working style with strong customer and team orientation.

Preferred Certifications

SC-100 – Cybersecurity Architect Expert

SC-300 – Identity and Access Administrator

SC-200 – Security Operations Analyst

SC-400 – Information Protection Administrator

AZ-500 – Azure Security Engineer

MS-102 – Microsoft 365 Administrator

Additional Microsoft Security, Azure, Purview, Sentinel, Copilot or Security Copilot etc. certifications are a plus

Experience in analyzing complex requirements and developing robust architecture and implementation concepts

Strong communication skills, confident presence, and enjoyment in working with customers, Sales, and technical teams
