About the role
Overview:
GovCIO is currently hiring a DevSecOps Engineer with an active Secret clearance to integrate security practices into software development and infrastructure operations by automating secure delivery pipelines, compliance controls, vulnerability management, and deployment processes. This role is based in Arlington, VA, as a hybrid/remote position.
Responsibilities:

Build, maintain, and secure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.
Automate application build, test, security scanning, and deployment processes.
Embed security testing throughout the development lifecycle.
Implement container and cloud security practices.
Manage source code repositories and branching strategies.
Automate compliance checks and configuration validation.
Support vulnerability remediation and risk reduction efforts.
Collaborate with developers, cybersecurity teams, and operations teams.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's with 12+ years of infrastructure/cloud engineering experience (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience:
5–8 years of DevSecOps/engineering experience
Terraform/Ansible automation
Docker/Kubernetes experience
Static/dynamic scanning tools proficiency
Secrets‑management experience
Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Agile SDLC experience
Cloud security frameworks
Preferred Skills and Experience:
AWS/Azure DevOps certifications
CISSP (preferred)
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Clearance Required: Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to attain DEA suitability.
Posted Salary Range: USD $220,000.00 - USD $230,000.00 /Yr.
