GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Engineering position responsible for production support, tools, and equipment for vehicle assembly.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Professional Engineering Degree (Electromechanical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or similar).
4 or more years of experience in a related position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS
Bilingual (80% English and Spanish), both spoken and written.

Design software (CATIA / SolidWorks / AutoCAD)
SAP System
Blueprint interpretation
Project management
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Determine the tools required to perform operations.
Perform activities related to safety.
Develop Business Cases to select the best tools without safety, quality, and/or productivity risks.
Obtain and procure tools through the purchasing process, while ensuring timely delivery.
Design tools, accessories, and fixtures according to requirements.
Resolve quality issues together with the cross-functional team.
Implement short-term and long-term improvements.
Capital equipment acquisition.
Provide daily support to assembly lines or assigned subassembly areas under their responsibility.
Develop and mitigate risk analyses for processes under their responsibility.
Develop machining, integration, and service suppliers.
Establish requirements for the modification and/or development of new equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
Implement and validate newly acquired or modified equipment.
Develop cost-saving projects.
Manage the addition and removal of spare parts in the tool crib.
Release 2D drawings and specifications for new models and/or platforms.
Participate in maintaining the PFMEA to anticipate poka-yoke equipment in assigned areas.
Manage electrical drops, pneumatic connections, and network nodes for new equipment implementation.
Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Coordinator or Manager.
Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) requirements applicable to their role in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
Comply with safety rules established according to their function.
Complete planned training related to Quality and Training on time.
Identify and report any quality or compliance issues and support corrective actions.
