DESCRIPTION:
Join our team as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative software solutions. You'll work on advanced projects ranging from generative AI applications to clinical trial technology, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver results. As a member of our quality assurance team, you'll design and implement comprehensive testing strategies, develop automation frameworks, and drive continuous improvement in our software development lifecycle.
In this role, you'll evaluate complex systems, conduct thorough testing across multiple platforms, and ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and user experience. You'll have the opportunity to work with advanced technologies while contributing to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with expertise in automated and manual testing
Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
Industry certifications such as ISTQB, CSTAS, or CPTA are advantageous
Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TOSCA)
Experience with API testing, backend validation, and database testing
Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub)
Proficiency in test management tools (JIRA, ALM, qTest)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of GxP compliance and software validation in regulated environments
Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
Ability to work independently and lead testing initiatives
Strong documentation and reporting skills
Flexibility to collaborate across different time zones
