Job Family Group: Procurement & Supply Chain Management Group Job Description: This is a Castrol requisition and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence ahead of the Castrol divestment later in 2026. From the point of the divestment, you will be employed fully by Castrol and no longer be a bp employee. Purpose of the role Integrity of the manufacturing process in the 3P sites to produce finished goods that meet QC specifications and support product performance and process improvements. Resolution of product quality and manufacturing issues. Ensure that new or modified product formulas are approved and implemented at the facilities using the proper process to ensure the quality and performance of products. The position will interface and liaise with 3P manufacturing sites & Warehouse, Procurement, suppliers, TD&PD, Quality Assurance to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing capability and commercialization of products. Will also support the business and customer’s needs, while assuring compliance to the quality manual and Manufacturing Quality standards. Accountabilities Local focal point for managing Streamline and Fusion’s system and supporting processes such as RM inspection plans, setting up and maintaining QA inspection plans for finished products blends, blending processes, bulk and packaging products for the region. Supports the Regional Technology, TD; PD and 3P Operations teams to ensure product quality and integrity is incorporated into commercial manufacturing processes by examining and addressing product compatibility, co-mingling limitations, flush requirements, sampling requirements, and specific blending instructions to enable safe, effective, reliable, and efficient blending and filling of products that meet the quality specifications and standards as defined by Quality Manual & Q-Standards. Ensure effective coordination of hand blends through 3P Labs to enable new formulas launching, blending adjustments and formulas optimization. Ensure effective coordination and handling of raw material and finished product revalidation requests, in compliance with established quality and regulatory requirements. Ensure regional and local systems are kept accurate and up to date (Fusion, JDE, Lotus Notes), maintaining correct product formulation & other technical data and required testing specifications for each product. Participate actively in records and closure of customer complaints (within 3P/ Quality scope), ensuring a return on time (as the SLA) and with quality to customers. Address and monitor waiver processes, starting, following and closing the entire flow as established in Quality Manual and related procedures. Supports MOC (Management of Change) for lab, process instrumentation and blending and packaging operations with a focus on cross contamination, compatibility, and process integrity. Apply methods and techniques to find solutions to problems and apply established scientific principles to existing processes. Drive efficiency in cost and cash through lowering the cost of poor quality (COPQ), optimizing formulations and a focus on continuous improvement to underpin Best-In-Class unit cost metrics. Act as an integration point for the related Plant Lab team operating in QM. Trains others in the application of methods and procedures that enable products to be manufactured, product testing and implementing in line with standard work instructions. Works with operations and quality departments to complete RCAs and drive improvement plans to eliminate and prevent future deviations in FTPR and manufacturing processes. Monitor critical parameter trends by applying effective statistical tools, such as SPC (statistical process control), MSA, CEP programs, to proactively prevent potential failures with a continuous improvement focus. Support trouble shooting quality issues, such as failed blend, and work with QC/QA team to take corrective actions. Continuous improvement of current process to improve quality, reduce cost, and simplify manufacturing procedures (promoting a supply chain excellence culture). Work as 3P/Quality tag for all processes, new SKUs launching and projects needed to support the business in the region. Participate as internal/ external audits processes to ensure business adherence to ISO 9001 and IATF. Participate and support the 3P/Q lead in the Quality & Compliance Incident reports, investigations, action plans and records updates on EQMS database, according to the global ways of working. Support the processes of Non-Conformance reports of suppliers and third parties, ensuring adherence to Castrol's Quality Policy. Maintaining consistent quality standards across external plants with different cultures, processes, and maturity levels. Managing deviations, investigations, and RCAs in environments with limited direct control and data transparency. Influencing and aligning multiple interested parties (Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, Procurement, and 3Ps). Understanding Global Quality requirements and aligning them with regional needs. Driving a strong quality approach and “right‑first‑time” culture within organizations that are not part of the company. Experience Minimum 3 years of experience working in an industrial environment. Must have proven experience with blending / fluid handling / mixing / packaging/quality/ laboratory /control testing equipment and quality management systems. Experience in lubricant industry is a plus. Must have new product formulation, development, scale-up and commercialization process knowledge and experience. Sense of urgency and capacity to positively react to unexpected events Must have strong product technical knowledge Experience handling quality deviations, non‑conformances, RCA and CAPA processes. Exposure to quality management systems (QMS) and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, GMP, IATF or equivalent). Experience in leading internal, external, or supplier audits. Demonstrated ability to work in cross‑functional and multicultural environments. Background in risk assessment, waiver evaluation, and technical decision support. Experience with data‑driven performance monitoring (indicators, trends, operational metrics). Economic dimensions Direct impact on quality cost, supply continuity, risk mitigation, and overall profitability of outsourced manufacturing operations. Contributes to the following metrics HSSE (Near misses, SOCs, etc) Quality (FTPR, FFU/FFS, QOC’s, MFG Q Standards) Customer Service Metrics (In-full On-time, Customer complaints) HSSE accountabilities Be a leader in terms of adherence to the BP safety policies. Follow the procedures related to environmental aspects and requirements of ISO 9001 OMS Support on Working with Contractors Monitor HSSE/Ethics compliance in 3rd Party activities by adhering to the Code of Conduct. Competencies Quality Management Systems, Quality Risk Management, Quality Improvement Tools, Quality Leadership, Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality Management, and Logistics & Warehouse Quality, RCA certification, ASQ IATF/ISO certified internal auditor. Lab technical competencies: Formulation/Test Methodology Statistical Process Control Methodology Lab Test Methods/Work Processes and Standards Must have strong product technical knowledge Advanced communication skills (Portuguese & English) – both verbal and written Ability to drive accountability and execution through governance, follow‑up, and structured communication. Flexibility and adaptability - able to work in a rapidly changing environment Data‑driven perspective with experience analyzing Confidence to challenge, call out, and decide based on risk and facts Clear, structured, and professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Structured problem‑solving approach (root cause focus, fact‑based decisions). Education Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering or a related technical field is mandatory. Knowledge in Operations, Quality, or Supply Chain is a strong plus. English knowledge – advanced (desirable)/ fluency is a strong plus. Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), Supplier Quality, Quality Auditing (CQA), and ISO Lead Auditor certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3) are highly desirable.
