Deputy Director - SAP Platforms & Solutions

Overview:

Strategic Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership on new SAP technologies and capabilities

Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and approved coding standards

Design / Functional Leadership: Lead in the creation and design of functional specifications. Ensure full understandings of the core SAP function modules and specifications adhere to business processes

Collaboration: Work with functional teams, project managers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs

Documentation: Create technical and functional documentation. Update our documentation systems for technical users and business users.

Support sustain teams: Provide ongoing support and leadership to our sustain team. This involves key monitoring of Early watch reports and ensure efficient operations

Responsibilities:

As part of the PGCS PGT Analytics, this role will be responsible for leading the end to end Analytics Delivery.

The role will be primarily responsible for design, develop, govern and deliver the PGCS analytics program.

Own seamless technical and functional migration as a part of the S4 migration across all functional Areas – Supply Chain, Sales & Distribution, GTM, Finance, Equipment Service, Food Service for PGCS SAP.

Deliver and prepare a global re-usable analytics playbook template and approach which can be leveraged across PGCS and identify synergies . Own and perform detailed technical design and governance review for the technical solutioning for SAP S4 to SAP BW, migration of BW data sources and downstream applications , optimize and standardize the code, implement best practices as a part of the Global Analytics Playbook focussing on PGCS market.

Ensure smooth migration and retrofit from ECC to SAP S4 , manage Delivery ,Development and Governance across technical areas of Data Warehouse, ETL, SAP BW, BOBJ, EDW, Azure data lake (EDF & Sector Lake), other integrations etc.

Collaborate and partner closely with the Sector Stake holders, Business, migration partners, SAP migration SME’s like SNP, Smartshift and internal cross functional teams to ensure smooth delivery and migration for BU products/Sector/Global Products like NRM, Mosaic, sDNA, E2E waste management etc. which span across diverse/multi region and complex SAP and downstream landscapes.

Resource to be part of DSO team. Responsible to analyse issues/tickets raised by business and coordinate with business associates to have a resolution as per SLA.

For the Enhancements/new report requirements, own requirements gathering, design, delivery, testing and user training of reporting and analytics solutions within the scope of PepsiCo Global Template.

Partner with the Value Stream Leads to verify the issue resolution before implementation and deploy – Consult / Execute

Work closely and collaborate with onshore and offshore team members and business partners to ensure timely delivery of the work.

Design, develop, and maintain SAP BW solutions including InfoProviders, Transformations, DTPs, Process Chains, Composite Providers, and BEx Queries. This requires solid understanding of SAP BW on HANA and how it integrates with HANA DB.

Design and develop SAP HANA XS Classic models including Calculation Views, Table Functions and SQL Stored Procedures

Design and develop SAP HANA XS Advanced models including Calculation Views, Table Functions, SQL Stored Procedures, Flowgraphs and Replication tasks

Create and mange Extraction Transformation Loading (ETL) data flows using SAP BW Extractors, SAP Smart Data Integration (SDI) and Smart Data Access (SDA).

Support data integration and reporting solutions based on the SAP modules related to Supply Chain, Financial reporting, Manufacturing, Operations, Master data.

Qualifications:

11 - 14 years of SAP BW / HANA experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or Equivalent

Experience in managing a development team

Experience / knowledge of other data warehouse technologies including Databricks / Microsoft Fabric

Deep knowledge of eHANA, SQL, SAP BW

Familiarity with adjacent enterprise platforms: SAP ECC, S4, SDI, SLT, Microsoft Data fabric

SAP BW on HANA- 6+ Y

HANA XSA and XSC- 4 Y

Should have strong experience in at least 2 SAP functional Area - FI/SD/MM/TPM/P2P etc

Should have managed a team - at least 4-5 people

Techno Functional role

DevOps experience including GIT strategy and Pipeline creation and implementations

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

Ability to work flexible hours based on varying business requirements

Knowledge and experience in the following tools, disciplines and processes are nice to have: SAP Solman, HP-ALM, Sharepoint, ServiceNow etc.

Ability to quickly adapt to changes in technologies, timelines and sequences

Desired: At least 1-2 years of major SAP transformation project with experience in

Functional & technical solution design & development

Develop project deliverables - formal/structured methodology

Analyze requirements definition/mapping & apply required configuration changes

Development, execution and hypercare

UAT execution lead role for a specific area

Functional & Technical Workshop delivery

SAP BOBJ

Power Bi

SDI integration

SQL coding and debugging skills

Azure / SAP Databricks

Knowledge of Datasphere

GitHub.com / Azure Dev Ops experience including Pipelines and GIT

Python/Node.js experience

Strong knowledge of SQL for HANA development. Good proficiency in ABAP coding.

Knowledge of python, yaml, node.js and javascript would be an advantage.
