Job Title – Business Analyst / Consultant – Commodity Trading
Management Level: 09 / 08 – Analyst / Consultant (depending on experience)
Location: Bangalore

Must have skills:
Energy Industry exposure in domains like Oil & Gas Production, Refining, or Distribution
4–8 years of relevant experience in Commodity Trading.
Consulting or Industry functional experience in one or more ETRM tools
Exposure to commodities such as Gasoline, Diesel, Aviation Fuel, Heating Oil, etc.
Solid understanding of financial concepts: P&L, Accounting, Taxes, Financial Risk, and Derivatives
Knowledge of operational concepts: Production, Planning, Logistics, Storage, Distribution, Operations Risk
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferably experienced in Endur (Ops – scheduling, actualization, settlements, accounting, inventory)
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Willingness to travel within and outside the country.
Good to have skills:
Endur implementation experience
Familiarity with SAP modules
High-level understanding of Front Office, Mid Office, and Back Office trading operations
Exposure to global commodity trading regulations
Experience:
4–8 years in Energy / Commodity trading operations or consulting
Prior experience in functional testing, BA/QA, or process transformation in ETRM environments will be an advantage
Educational Qualification:
MBA / PGDM (Tier-1 institute) with specialization in Operations / Finance
Engineering Degree (Tier-1 institute)
Job Summary:
As a Business Analyst / Consultant in Commodity Market Operations, you will support clients in optimizing trading operations, managing risk, and ensuring compliance across the energy value chain. You will work on ETRM implementations, business process transformations, and industry-specific solutions for Oil & Gas, Power, and Utilities clients.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients to understand commodity trading and risk management needs
Analyze and document business processes across Front, Mid, and Back Office functions
Drive solution design and implementation for ETRM tools (preferably Endur)
Support testing, migration, and deployment of commodity trading solutions
Advise clients on process improvements in production planning, logistics, settlements, and accounting
Conduct financial analysis on P&L, risk exposure, and derivatives trading
Prepare functional specifications and support technical teams during delivery
Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development
Professional & Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of Commodity & Energy markets
Hands-on experience in ETRM tools (Endur preferred)
Knowledge of trading lifecycle: deal capture, risk, scheduling, settlement, and accounting
Ability to assess operational risks and design mitigation strategies
Proficiency in financial and operational analysis
Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills
