Senior Inside Sales Representative
About the role
Job Summary
RSM Diagnostics Lab is seeking an experienced Senior Inside Sales Representative to join our sales team. This role takes ownership of a book of key accounts, drives strategic lead generation and conversion, and mentors junior inside sales team members, while working closely with the outside sales team to grow business across physician offices, clinics, and healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow a portfolio of established key accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for client needs
Drive outbound prospecting and lead generation strategies for higher-value accounts and new business opportunities
Educate and consult with clients on the full test menu, turnaround times, and ordering workflows
Partner closely with the outside sales team to align on territory strategy, account handoffs, and joint sales pushes
Independently resolve complex account, billing, or service issues, escalating only when necessary
Mentor and train junior Inside Sales Representatives on best practices, tools, and account management
Maintain and analyze CRM/LIMS data to identify trends, forecast pipeline, and report on account performance
Lead or support renewal negotiations and upsell/cross-sell initiatives with existing clients
Collaborate with marketing on targeted campaigns and outreach for key account segments
Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas, account retention targets, and revenue growth goals
Represent the voice of the customer in internal meetings, providing feedback to lab operations and leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
4+ years of inside sales, account management, or related experience (healthcare, diagnostics, or lab industry strongly preferred)
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing key accounts
Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Advanced proficiency with CRM software and sales reporting tools
Ability to mentor and support junior team members
Solid understanding of clinical lab testing, diagnostics, or healthcare industry practices
Self-motivated, strategic thinker with strong organizational and time management skills
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
