As a Strategic Analytics Associate, you'll work with the risk team to generate thoughtful analytics and recommendations to the business concerning strategy development, implementation, operational controls, and performance monitoring.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and maintain periodic analytics to provide management with full insight into emerging trends and the quality of the originated accounts

Attain a detailed understanding of key performance metrics and profitability drivers, enabling the delivery of insights encompassing the full account lifecycle

Acquire an understanding of the operational processes (e.g. manual underwriting, portfolio management, collections) which will aid in understanding acquisition performance drivers

Conduct complex analysis including data collection, analysis, visualization and presentation of results to partners and management in support of card acquisition strategies and new product/feature initiatives

Support formulation of risk strategy and product roadmap, partnering with and influencing cross-functional teams

Mange risk strategies to drive financial performance and risk mitigation improvements while innovating to ensure optimal strategy performance with growth mindset

Work closely with Risk Governance, Legal and Compliance to ensure policies comply with laws and regulations

Conduct ad hoc analytics and contribute to various projects representing Risk Management

Required qualifications, capabilities, and/or skills

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline from an accredited college/university required; Master's degree preferred

Minimum 3 years of Risk Management or other quantitative experience

Educational or professional background in statistics, econometrics, finance, or other quantitative field

Highly skilled at SQL coding, Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau

Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management information

Ability to logically structure analyses using strong analytical, interpretive, and problem solving skills

Experience delivering recommendations to management

Excellent written and oral communication skills
