Role: Product Manager, HVAC Portfolio

Status: Regular, Full-Time

Reports to: Senior Product Manager

Department: Product & Marketing

Location: Markham

Compensation: $74,817 - $118,211

Please note that the compensation range listed includes base salary and potential incentive pay. Incentives such as bonuses are not guaranteed and depend on individual performance and company results. Actual compensation within the range will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Product Manager to drive the strategy, performance, and evolution of our HVAC Portfolio which includes rental Furnace, Air Conditioner, Heat Pump, Boilers, and related offerings. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Management (HVAC Portfolio), this role is responsible for supporting the development and execution of the product roadmap, leveraging customer, market, and business insights to identify growth opportunities and improve portfolio performance.

The ideal candidate combines product management experience with strong financial and business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams. Experience in HVAC, home services, durable goods, or other customer-centric industries is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Portfolio Management

Manage and optimize the performance of the HVAC product portfolio, developing strategies to drive growth, profitability, customer acquisition, and retention.

Lead product lifecycle management, including new product introductions, enhancements, portfolio optimization, and retirement decisions.

Develop and execute the product roadmap using customer, market, competitive, and business insights to identify opportunities and improve portfolio performance.

Develop business cases, forecasts, and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, and portfolio investments.

Pricing, Offers & Financial Performance

Develop and manage pricing strategies, promotional offers, and product positioning.

Monitor revenue, margin, and portfolio profitability to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.

Build financial analyses and forecasts to support business decisions and investment recommendations.

Market Intelligence & Insights

Conduct market, customer, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends.

Monitor competitor products, pricing, promotions, and market activities.

Translate insights into actionable recommendations that strengthen portfolio performance and competitive positioning.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Partner with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Procurement, Operations, Customer Experience, Call Centre, and Field teams to deliver product and business initiatives.

Lead cross-functional projects and support go-to-market execution for new products, offers, and promotions.

Prepare and present performance updates, business cases, and recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Portfolio Management, Category Management, or a related discipline.

Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.

Experience developing business cases, financial models, and performance analysis.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; Power BI experience is an asset.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders
