About Working in Remote Camps

Our camps are located in remote areas and staff live on-site (meals and accommodation included) on scheduled shifts and leave camp on scheduled breaks. A typical shift schedule is any of the following: 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off, 3 weeks on and 1 week off or 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.

Most of our LandSea camps offer individual staff accommodation, ensuite or shared bathroom, full meals, WIFI and some have health/gym facilities for staff.

We provide partial uniforms and help with the travel/reservations as needed to and from camp locations.Camp staff work long hours and multiple days in a row. A typical workday is between 8-12 hours (day or night shift) and overtime rates apply.

Health and Wellness benefits are offered after three months. Health and Safety and a Respectful Workplace are essential for everyone working together at LandSea.

Our camps are drug and alcohol-free workplaces, and some require pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. All new staff are required to complete pre-employment onboarding orientations.

Our team members include Clerks, Cleaners, General Helpers, Housekeepers, Janitors, Maintenance, Security, Chefs, Cooks, Bakers, Lodge Managers, Health and Safety Officers and more.

About the Job

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of our camps to keep our guests happy and healthy. They must be able to work diligently and under pressure.

Salary, Benefits and Perks

TERM only starting as soon as possible until August 7, 2026

$18.47 - $21.55per hour

8-hour, 10-hour or 12-hour shifts depending on operational needs

Schedule: 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Location: Remote Site located approx. 4.5 hours Northeast of Prince George, BC

Job Responsibilities

Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers. Is adaptable to customer needs.

Maintains all assigned ancillary and department areas and corridors in a clean neat and sanitary manner, to protect safety and health of others and in compliance with accurate preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in department policy.

Make beds, change linens, comforters and towels

Remove garbage and high / low dusting

Check inbound and outbound guest lists for room changeover. Report changes and cleaned items

Ensure bathrooms are cleaned each day (floors, toilets, shower stalls, sinks, and mirrors)

Sweep and vacuum the mudroom, hallway, and entranceways

Clean, sanitize, and disinfect all common areas, focusing on high touch point areas including doorknobs/handles, light switches, water coolers, laundry machines, etc.

Stairs, mudroom, hallway, and entrances should be swept or vacuumed twice a day

Spot wash all walls in common areas

Deep clean the laundry room and tidy for other tenants; dust and sweep daily, mop every other day

Deep clean gym; disinfect all machines, vacuum, and wash floors

Ensure common bathrooms are cleaned entirely each day; floors, toilets, shower stalls, sinks and mirrors

Replenish toilet paper, paper towel, and soap

Remove garbage and recycling from common areas

Keep linen storage clean and organized

On check-out days, assist Housekeepers with the folding of laundry

Keep the laundry room tidy; dust and sweep daily, mop every other day

Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

Minimum 1 to 2 years housekeeping and/or janitorial experience

Strong communication skills. Ability to speak, read, and write English

Team player and can provide support, motivation, and encouragement to others

Excellent attention to detail and well-developed organization skills

Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently

Always maintain a professional appearance

Works safely and responsibly

The pay range for this position is $18.47 - $21.55.
