Position Title
Skate Sharpener Attendant
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Events & Community Engagement Coordinator, the Skate Sharpener Attendant is responsible for sharpening Kings and Queen players’ skates, tiding up and doing general maintenance of the skate sharpening equipment.
Position Responsibilities
Support for Kings and Queens Hockey Teams:
Performs skate sharpening for hockey teams
Ensures facility and equipment area is kept clean and tidy
Performs general equipment repairs as needed
Ensures a safe and healthy work environment by complying with polytechnic health and safety policies, standard practices, and programs in keeping with occupational health and safety legislation and regulations
Performs other related work as assigned
Required Qualifications
Some education and training, but less than a high school diploma
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with skate sharpening and hockey equipment is an asset.
Interest and/or some knowledge in athletics.
Knowledge of the RDP environment (Athletics) preferred.

$19.65 per hour
Benefits and Compensation Information
An additional 15% of the hourly rate in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.
