Lead I - Software Testing (Automation with Java, Selenium & Playwright)

Role description

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Test Engineer with strong experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Selenium, Playwright, and Java, along with a practical, detail-oriented approach to ensuring software quality. This role involves contributing to test strategy, test execution, automation development, and continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, and Java.

Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the defect lifecycle.

Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.

Participate in test planning, effort estimation, and release readiness activities.

Create and maintain test documentation, including test scenarios, test data, and test reports.

Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and contribute to process improvements.

Enhance test frameworks and promote automation best practices.

Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience in both manual and automation testing.

Strong hands-on experience with:

Selenium WebDriver

Playwright

Java

Good understanding of test design techniques, test execution, and defect management.

Experience in functional, regression, and integration testing.

Strong knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

Ability to analyze requirements and create effective test scenarios and test cases.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Familiarity with automation frameworks and tools such as:

TestNG

JUnit

Maven

Gradle

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
