Our growing company requires and Engineer looking to innovate current and new products through skills sets in refrigeration, airflow and controls. National Comfort Products is a division of a larger company that allows for future development and growth.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering.

3-5 years Engineering experience, preferably on Commercial/Residential Heating and Cooling products.

Working knowledge of regulatory requirements (UL, DOE, Energy Star)

Ability to create and interpret technical drawings.

Computer Skills: proficient at Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Vapor Compression simulation experience is a plus. Experience using Solidworks CFD Thermal and Fluid Dynamics (big +).

Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft documents such as reports, correspondence, standard operating procedures, and product operating/maintenance manuals.

Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and through email, with all levels of management, employees, vendors and clients.

Job Duties

Research, design and develop new heating, air conditioning and heat pump systems

Perform system analysis, thermodynamic studies, energy simulations

Ensure products meets and exceeds performance specifications

Ensure that products meet regulatory compliance.

Project Management: Plan, lead and coordinate all aspects of assigned projects

Work hands on to design and assemble prototype units

Collaborate with test lab staff to define test requirements, run tests and analyze results.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
