About the role

Job Summary

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Wave Solder Machine Operative to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining wave soldering equipment used in the assembly of electronic components. Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor wave soldering machines to ensure optimal performance during the soldering process.

Conduct routine inspections of equipment, identifying and troubleshooting issues promptly to minimise downtime.

Adjust machine parameters as required, using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to maintain precise soldering conditions.

Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts using hand tools and power tools.

Ensure surface mount technology (SMT) components are correctly positioned before soldering begins.

Assist with assembly tasks related to electronic circuit boards, applying mechanical knowledge to support quality standards.

Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Document operational data accurately for quality control purposes and report any irregularities to supervisors.

Experience

Previous experience with surface mount technology (SMT) assembly or wave soldering processes is advantageous.

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical skills is desirable.

Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems will be beneficial.

Experience working with electrical or mechanical systems in a manufacturing setting is preferred.

Practical understanding of assembly procedures related to electronic components is a plus.

Candidates with a background in electronics manufacturing or related technical fields are encouraged to apply.
