Overview
Our Manager Research Team is responsible for researching and selecting best-in-class asset managers from across the globe for our clients to invest in. The team is also responsible for identifying new and emerging themes, monitoring selected managers and delivering bespoke client projects. The data analyst role is an integral part of the team, helping source, process and interpret financial, numerical and qualitative data from our investment managers across a broad range of public and private markets asset classes. The role involves working within MRT, helping to deliver manager research and provide advice to the firm’s clients.
How you'll make an impact
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the shared services team.
Collating, tracking and analysing fund manager information across various asset classes. This may include performance, risk, team and investment data, for example.
Liaising with external fund managers to ensure investment information is readily updated and accessible to the research team.
Integrating and using various internal systems and external investment platforms (e.g Bloomberg, StyleAnalytics, Preqin, ADA Research etc.) to source, check, consolidate and evaluate reported data.
Writing commentary on a selection of funds from quarterly reports written by the fund manager.
Special projects or assignments as instructed by your supervisor/manager.
Working on bespoke data projects that help inform our investment decision-making.
About you
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
5 years related experience.
Able and willing to travel up to approximately 25% of the time, where required by role
Preferred:
MBA or FIA/FFA/CFA certification/accreditation
