About the role:

We are seeking a Tax Compliance Manager to join our Group Tax team. Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Rabobank meets its taxation compliance obligations and reporting across Australia and New Zealand.

Working closely with the other Tax Compliance Manager, you will primarily be responsible for the Rabobank Australian tax compliance activities while also supporting New Zealand tax obligations.

Some of the Key Responsibilities include:

Prepare, review and lodge annual corporate income tax returns for Australia and New Zealand.

Prepare and lodge Australian Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns and quarterly New Zealand FBT returns.

Complete thin capitalisation calculations and related compliance requirements

Manage tax payments and associated compliance obligations.

Prepare and review of monthly, half-year and year-end tax effect accounting calculations.

Prepare financial reporting disclosures, tax notes and Head Office tax reports.

Monthly review and reconciliation of tax related accounts in the general ledger

Provision of tax advice to internal clients and general tax support to business and operational areas of the Bank

Research and provision of assistance to the Senior Tax Managers and Head of Tax

Support business projects, system enhancements and product reviews from a tax compliance perspective.

Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate impacts to relevant stakeholders, including the provision of any tax related training and presentations.

Support the administration and day-to-day operations of the Group Tax function.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and professional certification such as CA or CPA.

Proven corporate tax experience, preferably gained in the Banking and Financial Services industry.

Tax accounting and compliance experience is essential.

Good technical knowledge of the Australian (and, preferably, NZ) tax systems

Strong understanding of accounting standards relating to tax effect accounting

Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail and accuracy

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Highly motivated to deliver outcomes and meet deadlines.
