We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Backend Developer to support the industrialization of AI-powered applications within an innovative enterprise platform environment.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise with experience in building scalable backend systems, APIs, and cloud-native applications. A key aspect of this role is transforming rapidly developed AI prototypes into secure, maintainable, and production-ready enterprise solutions.

The consultant should be comfortable working independently, identifying technical improvement opportunities, and collaborating closely with frontend developers, AI specialists, cloud engineers, and platform teams.

Your Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python backend services

Build and integrate REST APIs for modern web applications

Develop data processing pipelines supporting AI-based solutions

Transform proof-of-concept and prototype applications into production-ready enterprise software

Improve software architecture, maintainability, scalability, and performance

Implement authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, and error-handling concepts

Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices

Create technical documentation and architectural guidelines

Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Frontend Developers, Product Owners, and Cloud Engineers

Contribute technical expertise and proactively drive improvements to existing solutions

Required Technical Skills

Programming & Backend Development

Python (5+ years of professional experience)

FastAPI (preferred) or Flask

Asynchronous Python development

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

Clean Architecture / Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

API Development

REST API design and implementation

OpenAPI / Swagger

Authentication concepts (OAuth2, JWT)

Databases

PostgreSQL

SQLAlchemy

Data modelling and database design

Software Engineering

Clean Code principles

Software architecture and design patterns

Unit testing and integration testing

Performance optimization

Production debugging and troubleshooting

AI & Data Experience (Preferred)

Experience with AI-supported applications is highly desirable, including:

Backend services supporting LLM-based applications

Vector databases

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures

LangChain or LlamaIndex

Document processing pipelines

AI model integration via APIs

Your Background

Minimum completed vocational training

5+ years of professional experience in Python backend development

Proven track record building production-grade backend applications

Experience designing scalable APIs and backend services

Experience working within cloud-native environments

Experience modernizing, optimizing, or industrializing existing software solutions

Experience collaborating within agile and cross-functional teams
