Seattle’s premier upscale and sports dining experience is seeking a talented, passionate, and team-oriented hospitality professional to join us as a Senior Sous Chef. Located between Seattle’s Pioneer Square and SoDo district, inside the Silver Cloud Hotel – Seattle Stadium. An arms throw to Lumen Field, home of the Seahawks and Sounders, and T-Mobile Park home to the Mariners. Get any closer to the fields and you’d have to wear a uniform!

POSITION PURPOSE:
Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Senior Sous Chef serves as a critical operational leader in the day-to-day execution of kitchen operations. This role is accountable for delivering consistent, high-quality culinary output while maintaining efficient kitchen flow, proper staffing execution, and adherence to all food safety and sanitation standards.
The Senior Sous Chef leads by example on the line, actively coaching and developing culinary team members, ensuring recipe and plating consistency, and driving accountability for performance standards. This position partners closely with the Executive Chef to manage inventory, control food costs, and support menu execution and innovation.
In addition to core kitchen leadership, the Senior Sous Chef plays an integral role in the planning and execution of private dining, banquet, and catering events, ensuring all culinary offerings are executed at a high level and aligned with brand standards, while supporting revenue growth through exceptional food quality and operational precision.
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
EXPERIENCE:
o At least 2 years previous Sous Chef experience in a fast-paced environment – Required
o Must have current food handlers and MAST permit - Required
o Excellent organizational skills
o Excellent communication skills
o Ability to adapt to changing business demands, guest and team member needs
o Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the hotel
o Possess a gracious, friendly and approachable demeanor
o Ability to interpret guest feedback and implement service enhancements
o Results oriented with ability to work under pressure
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or its Equivalent
COMPENSATION:
Salary Range is $72,800 - $83,000 per year and is based on applicable experience and work history.
