The Role
We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney (2+ years of experience) to join our team. You will handle all phases of litigation, from initial claim evaluation through resolution, working alongside seasoned partners in a collaborative and mentorship-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a diverse caseload of defense matters.
Conduct depositions, represent clients at hearings, and attend mediations.
Draft persuasive pleadings, motions, and comprehensive legal evaluations.
Analyze medical records and translate complex medical terminology into effective legal strategy.
Maintain regular, high-level communication with clients and insurers.
Qualifications
Education/Bar: Juris Doctor (JD) and active member in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA). Admission to the Alaska, Oregon, or California Bar is a plus.
Experience: 2+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience. Prior experience in maritime law or workers' compensation is preferred but not required.
Skills: A basic understanding of medical terminology is preferred. Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills are essential.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw/LexisNexis) and case management software.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 per year (Determined by experience and qualifications).
