REPORTING TO: Strategic Growth Officer

TYPE: Full Time (Exempt)

LOCATION: Seattle, WA

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Regional Market Leader and Senior Relationship Officer (“Leader”) is a senior individual contributor role in Northwest Trustee’s greater Seattle market (where we currently serve a significant book of clients including ultra-high-net-worth clients). This position will administer complex fiduciary relationships, serve as a subject‑matter expert to beneficiaries and professional advisors, and advance Northwest Trustee’s business development, market presence, and reputation in Seattle and Western Washington.

The Leader should enjoy working closely with people and demonstrate the ability to engage beneficiaries and professional advisors with respect and transparency, while exercising appropriate professional judgment and boundary‑setting when required. The role requires a proactive, self‑motivated professional who recognizes the importance of timely, accurate execution in both fiduciary administration and new business initiatives.

This role does not include formal people‑management responsibilities such as hiring, performance management, discipline, or compensation decisions. Instead, the role operates through expertise, influence, collaboration, and mentorship, in close partnership with executive leadership, designated people leaders, and other team members in the market.

DUTIES:

· Business Development

Focus on sustaining and expanding the firm’s visibility, relationships, and standing in the local marketplace

Supplement the new business department by being available to meet with potential clients, support in finalizing proposals to clients, and assisting with closing potential opportunities

Meet future clients who are considering naming us in their estate plan

Represent Northwest Trustee in the professional communities in Western Washington, including attending lunches, events, speaking engagements, and conferences

Create and maintain relationships with key centers of influence

Utilize company software and tracking tools to record interactions and implement agreed upon marketing or sales plans

Assist in developing and refining new business strategies for the Western Washington marketplace, including traveling with our new business staff to meet key centers of influence

Attend coaching and sales training as needed

Collaborate with onboarding staff to complete new account onboarding

· Ultra-High-Net-Worth Client Service Delivery

Have primary responsibility for delivering exceptional, high touch fiduciary and advisory services to ultra-high-net-worth clients in conjunction with other local team members

Act as a subject matter resource to internal employees by providing guidance on sophisticated planning strategies, governing documents, and client specific considerations for current and prospective clients

Review legal documents and related planning strategies prepared by internal or external parties in connection with serving individuals with taxable estates. Such review will be performed to ensure that:

Northwest Trustee’s fiduciary, legal, and operational risk has been appropriately identified, evaluated, and managed

Northwest Trustee’s role, responsibilities, and scope of authority are clearly defined and consistent with governing documents and applicable law

Northwest Trustee can fulfill, in practice, the commitments, representations, and service expectations communicated to clients and their advisors

Participate in the development, refinement, and implementation of Family Office Services for ultra-high-net-worth clients who require customized and non-standard solutions

Contribute ideas, insights, and best practices that enhance Northwest Trustee’s ability to market to, engages with, and serve ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients

· Relationship Management

Serve as Relationship Manager on a select number of fiduciary accounts with the support of a Trust Officer and Trust Associate.

Ensure adherence with governing documents, laws, and firm policies and procedures

Maintain professional, thoughtful, and empathetic relationships with beneficiaries and their advisors

Resolve non-routine fiduciary matters and coordinate with retained experts and third-party professionals

Collaborate with the Chief Fiduciary Officer on complex fiduciary or risk matters

Maintain compliance with Northwest Trustee’s fiduciary and risk management standards

Delegate administrative or specialized work appropriately

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

o Bachelor’s degree and fifteen years (15) years of relevant experience

o Proficiency with Microsoft programs and ability to learn company specific software

Preferred

o CFP, CTFA, MBA, Juris Doctorate, and/or LLM in Tax

Pay: $150,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
