We are looking for a Junior Commercial Bid Manager
The rapid increase in urbanization worldwide is increasing the demand for more efficient and more powerful rail connections. Our business unit plans and implements complex Turnkey projects all over the world. In your role, you will contribute to bids with high complexity and volume and thus make an important contribution to the success of the business
You’ll make a difference by:
Key contributor to commercial bid management for major railway projects at Siemens Mobility, ensuring timely completion of competitive bids providing significant impact to our business as well as to our customers
Be a cornerstone in a cross-BU and cross-organizational commercial team, while ensuring the timely completion of competitive bids
Responsibility for lot calculations & drive necessary inputs from procurement and engineering
Consolidate calculation inputs, clarify overall cost elements and derive optimal cash profiles on behalf of the SMO team, ensuring entrepreneurial success
Analyze turnkey tenders, identify project’s risk profile, and contribute to respective mitigation strategies
Ensure consistency in bid documents and calculations considering the bid strategy and contract analysis
Clarify optimal business models and contract structures regarding competitiveness & risk allocation while considering relevant tax regulations
Ensure that the relevant PM@Siemens and LoA processes are being followed and all calculation guidelines are considered.
You’ll win us over by:
University degree in business administration, finance or similar or equivalent.
First project management experience (at least 5 years), preferably in sales/bids and railway project execution.
Knowledge of the commercial tools and methodologies relevant for sales and bidding, in particular setting up calculations, risk management, PM@Siemens.
First experience with tender and contract documents
Flexibility and resilience in constantly evolving environments, focusing on solutions for internal/external partners and Siemens Mobility management.
Knowledge of scope management tools (WBS, LoR, etc.) for ensuring calculation consistency and completeness, and can anticipate & mitigate project risks.
Fluent in English and experienced in working within intercultural teams.
