QA Engineer - Industrial Automation

About the position

Can you imagine helping ensure the quality of a leading industrial automation software platform used by engineers worldwide?

Join our expert team to work on an Industrial Automation Software Platform, contributing to the testing and continuous improvement of a complex engineering application. You will apply your knowledge of manual testing, TestComplete and test automation to validate software quality throughout the development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners and development teams to ensure reliable and high-performing solutions.

How do we make this happen?

With people. Besides your team and manager, you will have several support figures like a godparent, who will help you with the practical and administrative aspects of daily life during your first 6 months.

And the second most important person after you, your mentor, who will guide you through your entire onboarding and career at ERNI. You will have regular 1:1 meetings with them, and recurrently, you will work on your development plan to define your short-, medium-, and long-term goals.

What you will bring

3+ years of experience as QA Engineer across the full software development lifecycle.

Hands-on experience with manual testing and test automation tools such as TestComplete.

Knowledge of scripting languages and automated testing frameworks.

Understanding of Agile methodologies, preferably SCRUM.

Experience or interest in Industrial Automation technologies such as PLC, Motion Control, Robotics, Servo or Simulation.

You will be responsible for transforming requirements into testable specifications while creating test plans and executing manual and automated tests. You will manage defects from identification to closure, contribute to test automation and CI improvements, collaborate with Product Owners and engineering teams, and help ensure the quality, performance and reliability of the software platform.

We ask you to be available for key meetings. Need to leave for a doctor’s appointment or to pick up your child from school? No problem. We trust you to deliver quality work within your 40-hour workweek.

Our model is hybrid: we usually go to the office 2 days a week, though this depends on the project and team, but we love seeing each other’s faces; the best stories always happen in the office!
