Reports to: HR Manager, Direct Dialogue Liaises with: Fundraising Management Team, Street and Door Fundraising Teams, Concern Worldwide Staff

Job location: Dublin, Hybrid

Pay Band: Global Pay Band 4 (pro Rata) €36,301 - €40,335.

The starting salary for this position will be the beginning of the pay band pro rata.

Exact salary for 21 hours per week €21,780.00

Contract: Fixed Term (12 months), Hybrid contract (50% of working week from Concern Camden Street office) - Part-Time , 21 Hours a week.

The HR Officer will provide HR support to the Direct Dialogue fundraising team in ROI.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised HR Officer to join our busy Direct Dialogue fundraising team. Working closely with the HR Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the recruitment and onboarding of our fundraising teams, while providing essential HR administration support across the employee lifecycle.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their HR career, whether you are taking your first steps into HR, a recent HR graduate, have recruitment administration experience, or are currently studying towards a CIPD qualification or Masters in Human Resources. You will gain hands-on experience across recruitment, HR systems, employee records and a broad range of HR processes.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

Support the end-to-end recruitment process for Direct Dialogue fundraising teams, from advertising vacancies through to onboarding new starters.

Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, references, pre-employment checks and recruitment documentation.

Prepare contracts, offer letters and new starter documentation, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.

Maintain accurate recruitment records and trackers.

HR Administration

Provide day-to-day HR administration support to the HR Manager and wider fundraising teams.

Manage HR system administration, including setting up new starters, processing leavers, updating employee records and producing HR reports.

Maintain accurate employee files and ensure HR documentation is GDPR compliant.

Support annual leave, absence and probation administration.

Prepare HR letters, references and employee documentation.

Support the administration of employee benefits, pensions and payroll processes.

General HR Support

Assist with HR projects, employee communications and updating HR documentation.

Support the delivery of effective HR processes across the employee lifecycle.

Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the HR function.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

A genuine interest in developing a career within HR.

Desirable

Experience in a busy administrative role.

Previous HR or recruitment administration experience.

Experience using HR systems or databases.

CIPD qualification or currently studying towards a CIPD qualification, HR qualification or Masters in Human Resources.

Previous experience in a fast-moving, customer-focused environment.
