At ANYbotics, we build autonomous, end-to-end robotic solutions that automate routine industrial inspections in complex and hazardous environments. As an Industrialization / Electronics Test Engineer, you will play a central, high-impact role within our Operations team in Zurich, directly enabling the production scaling of our advanced legged robots.

By taking ownership of our electronics production test systems, you will bridge the gap between R&D, manufacturing, quality, and external supply partners. You won't just be sitting behind a desk designing isolated components - you will solve challenging real-world problems, build scalable test infrastructure, and directly shape our manufacturing capabilities as ANYbotics continues to globally.

The Market & Our Technology

Industrial facilities present some of the world's most severe operating conditions. Our flagship autonomous platforms, ANYmal and ANYmal X, are designed to navigate multi-story plants, stairs, and hazardous areas - delivering continuous operational insight without human risk. Scaling the manufacturing of these highly sophisticated quadrupedal robots requires robust, state-of-the-art electronics testing setups and a relentless commitment to hardware reliability and product yield.

Your Impact

Own and continuously improve existing and next-generation electronics production test systems for ANYmal products

Develop and deploy functional, In-Circuit Testing (ICT), and end-of-line test solutions for complex PCBAs and electronic assemblies

Drive root-cause analysis on production failures and test data to boost manufacturing quality and yield

Support the industrialization and rollout of ANYmal X and future robotic platforms

Introduce best practices for scalable testing, automation, lifecycle management, and hardware maintenance

Serve as the main technical interface between Operations, R&D, Quality, and EMS manufacturing partners

Your Profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field

Proven experience in electronics test engineering within a production or hardware manufacturing environment

Hands-on expertise developing, building, and deploying functional test systems for PCBAs and electronic assemblies

Strong hardware debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills

Practical familiarity with standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and programmable power supplies

solid understanding of hardware communication protocols including CAN, SPI, I²C, UART, and Ethernet

Hands-on experience with test automation and scripting languages like Python or LabVIEW

Proactive, hands-on mindset with a strong drive to collaborate directly with physical hardware and cross-functional teams

Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English

Bonus Points

Firmware development experience

Prior industry background in robotics, automotive, aerospace, or industrial electronics

Experience developing automated test benches using National Instruments hardware/software platforms like TestStand and LabVIEW

Conversational or fluent German language skills for supplier and EMS communication

Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, ISO, or IPC standards

We offer you a very exciting and dynamic work environment, the opportunity to become part of a fast-growing company and an ambitious team that is on a mission to change the industrial inspection market, a chance to leverage your experience and bring in your own ideas, a fair market salary, an attractive employee stock ownership plan, and a job in the city of Zurich.
