About The Role
The Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for leading the warehouse operation during the depot's busiest operational period, while providing operational oversight of the transport function to ensure the safe and efficient completion of daily deliveries.
Shift Pattern:
2am – 10am, 5 days a week (Flexibility required as weekend shifts are a requirement)
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.
Oversee transport operations to ensure all deliveries are completed safely, on time, and in line with customer requirements.
Manage and develop warehouse and transport teams, including supervisors, drivers, and warehouse operatives.
Plan labour and resources to meet operational demand, particularly during peak trading periods.
Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, picking accuracy, productivity, vehicle utilisation, and customer service performance.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, fleet, transport, and warehouse legislation, including driver hours and Working Time Directive requirements where applicable.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Manage stock accuracy through effective inventory control, cycle counting, and warehouse processes.
Work closely with procurement, customer service, and other internal departments to resolve operational issues and improve service levels.
