About the role
Position Summary
Henderson Chicken is seeking an experienced, dependable, and results-driven General Manager to lead all aspects of restaurant operations. The General Manager is responsible for financial performance, team development, food quality, guest satisfaction, safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can build a strong team, hold employees accountable, control costs, and create an excellent experience for every guest.
Primary Responsibilities
Direct all daily restaurant operations.
Recruit, hire, train, coach, and retain employees.
Develop managers, Shift Leaders, Lead Cooks, and Lead Cashiers.
Manage scheduling, payroll, labor budgets, and staffing levels.
Monitor sales, food costs, inventory, waste, and profitability.
Maintain food quality, order accuracy, and speed-of-service standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, uniform, and workplace-safety policies.
Resolve guest concerns professionally and implement service-recovery solutions.
Monitor Google reviews and lead initiatives to improve guest satisfaction.
Complete employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, and performance-improvement plans.
Ensure opening, closing, shift-change, cleaning, and cash-handling procedures are completed.
Manage vendor relationships, product ordering, and inventory controls.
Communicate company policies, goals, and operational updates to the team.
Partner with ownership and corporate leadership on business-improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
Minimum 2 - 3 years previous restaurant General Manager or senior management experience required.
Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, labor management, inventory, and cost control.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold teams accountable.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions.
Experience with POS systems, scheduling, reporting, and Microsoft or Google applications preferred.
Food Protection Manager certification required.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work around fryers, heat, food-preparation equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
