Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Receptionist in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. In this unarmed role, you will support access awareness, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate with professionalism while working as part of an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to all personnel, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts as needed.

Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout office areas, lobbies, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.

Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas for security-related issues, report maintenance or operational concerns, and follow post orders aligned with the location's daily operations.

Support a professional environment by verifying credentials when required, assisting with visitor directions, and/or reporting suspicious activity, policy violations, or emergencies to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
