Job Context
Landscaping & Turf, a Division of Servest has a vacancy for the Branch Manager. The purpose of the position is to manage overall customer, site and services support, ensuring Servest contract obligations are met while leveraging opportunities to drive efficiencies, as well as supervising and managing the activities on site and in the Branch. Establishing and maintaining relationships with individual or business customers. The position is reporting directly to the Regional Manager. Applicants are invited to join a team based in the Cape Town offices.
Minimum Requirements
National Diploma or Degree in Horticulture / Turf / Landscape Technology / Agriculture / Environmental field or equivalent
5 -8 years Landscape Construction & Maintenance experience
Managing high profile clients & multiple larger contracts
Managing large headcount workforce & teams
Sound knowledge of Labour relations legislation - BCEA & LRA and Health & Safety knowledge
Strong administration and organisational skills incl. financial skills and problem-solving ability
Must be able to interpret financial statements and achieve set budgets, budget parameters
Knowledge of Debtors and Creditors management
Computer literacy in MS Word – Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
Own vehicle with a valid unendorsed driver’s license.
Duties & Responsibilities
Contract Management experience in negotiation, execution and extensions
Manage a budget within established parameters, ensuring timeous billing and collection of revenue as well as follow-ups on payment of suppliers.
Support and manage planning in terms of the day-to-day operations of all sites ensuring the smooth operation while managing all the assets within the scope.
Act as a client liaison and constantly negotiate existing contracts with clients and the prospect of new business, aiming to re-tender opportunities and secure contracts.
Constantly provide support for sales processes where required by negotiating with new contractors on projects scope, increasing sales volumes and leads,
Drive SHERQ in the Contracts and on Site to ensure conformity to customer regulations and compliance to Safety aspects
Provide client support and management by visiting key client representatives monthly and ensure all sites are audited and client surveys are done monthly.
Manage all the KPI’s for employees reporting you
Resolve wage issues as and when they arise before they escalate.
Ability to solve problems in a professional manner
Ensure that training and compliance are met and always enforced
Act in accordance with priority situations and deal with stressful and challenging situations accordingly and effectively
Drive SHERQ on Site to ensure conformity to customer regulations and compliance to Health and Safety aspects
Drive Quality Control on site
Lead and manage a team responsible on a day-to-day
Monthly/Weekly/daily site visits
Ensure machinery maintenance schedules are adhered to, complete checklist and submit reports to the manager
Required to work extra hours to meet client’s/work needs
