Requirements
A relevant three-year Tertiary qualification, preferably NQF7
Preferred qualification is a BTech/Adv Dip: Watercare, Civil
Engineering or Chemical Engineering or relevant water related
qualification (e.g. Water Utilization/Water and Sanitation)
Professional registration preferred.
Minimum of 8 years’ related operations experience with at least
3 years’ supervisory/management experience in operation of
water treatment infrastructure and/or associated catchment /
storage / conveyance structures and facilities.
Must have Computer Literacy, knowledge of SAP, PM
Maintenance, and associated programs.
Will be required to have specialised knowledge of basic water
hydraulics, mechanical, electrical, process control systems and
civil maintenance requirements.
A valid Code B/EB (Code 8) Driver’s Licence.
Key Performance Areas
Managing the Key Performance indicators and activities
associated with the continuous operation of the depots to ensure
effective service delivery.
Planning and prioritising depot resources to effectively control
depot functions.
Managing depot performance, productivity and discipline within
the Scheme to ensure consistent reliable performance.
Planning, prioritising and scheduling maintenance work.
Preparing Operational and Capital estimates and controls
expenditure against approved budget allocations.
Performs specific administration tasks/activities with the updating
and maintaining records.
